No Power – PSU or Motherboard Failure?
Power problems often start after voltage fluctuations, storms, faulty outlets, or using low-quality surge protectors. These can damage the internal power supply or the power management section on the motherboard. Our job is to determine which side failed — so you do not waste money on the wrong repair.
Power Supply Testing & Replacement
Common signs of a bad power supply:
- Console does not turn on at all (no light)
- Light turns on for 1–2 seconds, then shuts off
- Clicking or buzzing sound from the PSU area
- Burning smell or visible burn marks on the PSU
We remove and test the internal PSU, check all voltage rails, and replace the unit with a high-quality compatible power supply if it fails.
Motherboard Power Circuit Repair
Sometimes the PSU is good, but the power circuits on the motherboard are damaged. In that case, simply changing the PSU will not fix the no-power issue.
- PSU tested OK but console still has no power
- Short circuit detected on 5V / 12V / core rails
- Overheated or burnt power regulators and MOSFETs
- No-power condition after liquid damage or lightning
