Backlight Circuit Repair
Dim screen, no image with working sound, or a display you can only see with a flashlight usually means a backlight circuit problem, not just a bad LCD. We repair the board-level backlight circuit so your screen can light up again.
What We Fix
Typical Symptoms
- Screen is completely dark but phone still turns on and makes sounds.
- Image is visible only under a strong light / flashlight.
- Backlight works for a second and then shuts off.
- Backlight burned after screen was changed somewhere else.
- Device had liquid damage around the screen connector area.
Board-Level Repair Steps
- Check backlight line for short or open circuits.
- Test and replace backlight IC, filters, coils and fuses if needed.
- Microsoldering under microscope on the logic board.
- Measure backlight voltage and current after repair.
- Final test with new or known-good screen before closing the device.
If your device had a screen replaced and the display went dark right after, continuing to plug and unplug screens can make the damage worse. Bringing it in early gives the best chance for a clean backlight repair and stable use afterwards.
