Touch IC / No Touch Repair
If you’ve tried different screens and touch is still intermittent or dead, the problem may be on the touch IC or touch circuit of the logic board. We offer board-level touch repairs for supported models.
When It’s Not Just the Screen
Touch IC Symptoms
- Touch works only in some areas of the screen with multiple screens tested.
- Random ghost touches or apps opening by themselves.
- Phone responds after hard press or bending the housing slightly.
- Started after drop, bend, flex or long-term heavy use.
- Touch stops working again soon after screen replacement.
Board-Level Repair
- Check touch lines and screen connector under microscope.
- Reflow / reball or replace the touch IC on supported models.
- Reinforce under-IC pads and jumpers to reduce future flex issues.
- Test with multiple screens after repair before sealing the phone.
- Explain realistic expectations – heavy-bent boards may not be perfect.
Using the device with a failing touch IC can lead to accidental taps and even data loss. Proper board-level repair makes the phone usable again and is usually cheaper than replacing the entire device.
